Q. What is search engine optimisation?
A. Search Engine Optimisation is applied to websites to improve their visibility on the internet by applying a number of techniques. This enables the website and all its pages to be optimised for search engines that search and index web pages. The better the structure, content and appearance of a website the higher the ranking and hence the easier it is to find on the internet by people searching for particular information. Appearing high in the search rankings can make a big difference to the amount of enquiries your company receives and hence its ultimate success.
Q. Can you guarantee me Google Page 1 ranking with your SEO?
A. We cannot guarantee your ranking in Google but we can promise too improve it. Beware any SEO company that guarantees you set ranking positions with a search engine. Nobody outside Google knows all the factors used by Google (over 120 different factors) in their search engine algorhythms which determine the search engine ranking position. Moreover each is weighted differently and overtime the factors and weights change. What we can guarantee is to work with you to optimise the site so that you do receive more visitors and improve your conversion rate of visitors to customers.
Q. How long does it take to complete my new website?
A. Each site is unique and we like to have full involvement and consultation with the customer to ensure we meet their objectives, with our aim to exceed their expectations. However as a rough guide, from the start date to completion for a static site with 10 to 15 pages it would take 14 days. Dynamic sites and e-commerce sites would take longer.
Q. How many pictures can we include?
A. We advise on the size, quantity and quality of the pictures for each web page to ensure that the overall size of the page when it is downloaded on the internet is quick.
Q. What format do you require the pictures in?
A. We can use pictures from e-mail attachments or on CD disk (which we will return). We cannot use CD's pictures from Apple computers. These need to be attached to e-mails.
Q. What sort of database do you construct for websites?
A. We use SQL databases which are scalable, reliable and compatible with the websites we design.
Q. I only want a small information site, can you do this?
A. As each website we design is unique we will create whatever type of website you require as long as it is feasible. No two websites that we design are the same, no two customers have the same requirements - so each of our designs are unique.
Q. I need graphic designs for logos and images on my website - can you provide this?
A. We design logos either from our own ideas or we can design logos based on your visions, ideas or requirements. Graphic design for the website is included in the website design using colours, styles, textures, pictures, graphics, appearance and feel as discussed with yourself to ensure we meet your objectives of design and corporate branding.
Q. Can you arrange a domain name for me?
A. We can arrange the purchase of domain names as long as they are publicly available.
Q. How do I get my website hosted?
A. We can arrange the hosting of your site and will upload all the relevant files to get your website live on the internet.
Q. Are there any ongoing costs once the website is created and completed?
A. There is only the annual renewal of the hosting fee and the the domain name which should be under £80 dependent on the type of hosting and the domain name suffix. We charge nothing extra, unless you require changes to the website, or any of the additional services that we provide that you may want to use.
