Award Winning Website Design Case Study - Poole Breaks


Poole Breaks offers a number of modern, fully equipped and well located holiday rental-properties in and around Poole in Dorset.

Poole is a very attractive place for holidays, especially for families, with many attractions, events and places to visit.

With Poole being a very desirable holiday destination, it was also a very competitive market in attracting tourists. Poole Breaks required a website that stood out from the competition.

 

The website had to fulfill a number of roles. Firstly it had to be attractively designed and easy for any visitor to find the necessary information with upto date availability and pricing for the properties..

Secondly, it also had to provide information on the attractions, events and places to visit both in Poole and Dorset.

The reason for this was two-fold. Firstly to convince visitors that Poole was an attractive holiday destination. But, secondly to ensure that when a visitor arrived at the website they didn't need to visit any other website to find out any further information.

The aim of the website was to turn a visitor into a customer.

In 2008 Website DNA originally designed the website but as extra properties were added it was re-designed in early 2009. Website DNA worked very closely with Poole Breaks throughout the entire development process.

The aim was not only to appear high up in the search engine rankings in Google but also once a visitor was on the site to provide all the information they needed.

This was on both the properties and the places to visit in Dorset, and in particular the Poole area.

As a result if they liked what the area had to offer they were more likely to book the accommodation available on the website and not go elsewhere.

The optimised website was relaunched in early 2009 and the website has achieved high rankings in Google for the key phrases used by visitors looking for holiday accommodation in the Poole area. The website was included by The Guardian in its Travel Section and included in its Top 10 British Holidays.
